LAMINATED GLASS

Laminated glass is produced from two or more glass plates by combining them under heat and pressure with the help of special binder polyvinyl butyral (PVB) layers.

This type of glass minimizes the risks of glass breaking because it holds the pieces in place in case of breakage. In addition to preventing injuries that may occur due to accidents, it is also used to protect life and property against external impacts.

Laminated glass prevents or delays the entry of attacks and theft attempts using tools such as stones and sticks, thanks to its PVB layers. Additionally, it contributes to sound insulation and prevents the passage of ultraviolet (UV) rays, which cause the colors of items and fabrics to fade, by 97%. It can also be used in Isıcam® units.

Laminated glass can be preferred wherever the safety of life and property is a priority. Particularly in places where glass breakage could be dangerous, for example:

  • - For glazing up to 80 cm from the ground,
  • - In glazing that continues uninterruptedly from floor to ceiling,
  • - Glazing on joinery glass doors and side joinery of glass doors,
  • - In overhead glazing,

Using laminated glass is a suitable solution for security.
